We are pleased to announce the 2026 Research Forum on Challenges in Management Accounting and Control, which will take place on 19-20 May 2026 at ‘La Cristalera, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid’. Following the success of previous editions hosted by Universidad Pablo de Olavide, Universitat de València, and Universidad de Extremadura, we are proud to host this new meeting.

This Research Forum aims to promote interaction and discussion among national and international researchers in the field of management accounting and control. Specifically, it serves as a meeting point for young scholars and PhD students to interact and present their papers and projects.

The forum will combine sessions featuring participant presentations with talks from guest top researchers.

The 2026 Light-nanoMatter Interaction Summer School (LnMI 2026) was conceived by young researchers for young researchers. It is our mission to equip the next generation of scientists with a comprehensive understanding of the state-of-the-art and developments in nanophotonics, nanomaterials, and light-matter interactions. The aim of the school is to advance individual knowledge but also, and foremost, to foster the interaction between the attendees and the speakers in an informal environment. The lectures will be given by rising stars in the field as well as by established researchers coming from all over the world (Canada, UK, China, Germany, Spain, and more). All these lectures are crafted by the speakers to be didactive in nature, whilst touching upon the latest cutting-edge discoveries.

The Three Hundred Project aims to exploit a large sample of simulated galaxy clusters and their environment modelled using a range of simulation packages and physics modules. In addition to the standard post-processing analysis, mock observational maps are available mimicking X-ray, optical, gravitational lensing, radio, and SZ observations.

Este taller teórico-práctico está diseñado para ofrecer una mirada clínica integral hacia el apaciguamiento, enfocándose en estrategias clínicas y herramientas somáticas para abordar esta respuesta fisiológica con eficacia.

Objetivos del taller

• Desarrollar una Perspectiva Clínica Profunda: Comprender el apaciguamiento desde una perspectiva clínica avanzada y su impacto en la dinámica terapéutica.
• Aplicar Herramientas Somáticas y Estrategias Clínicas: Aprender técnicas prácticas y herramientas para trabajar con el apaciguamiento, con un énfasis especial en la relación terapéutica.

The International Summer School “Nicolás Cabrera”, financially supported by the BBVA Foundation, deals with current topics in materials science, condensed matter and material physics since 1994. The School is a meeting point for numerous scientists all over the world, who share a few days in Madrid in a particularly pleasant and interacting environment.

The venue of the School is Residence “La Cristalera” in Miraflores de la Sierra, a small village in the mountains 50 km away from Madrid. There will be a welcome reception on Sunday evening (Sept. 1st, 2024) with lectures taking place from the morning of Monday (Sept. 2th) until lunch on Friday (Sept. 6th). A shuttle bus between airport and the residence will be arranged those days.

Climate change and environmental degradation represent a global challenge that will mark future generations, heading to radical changes both at the economic and social level. Batteries are a key element in the transition to a sustainable, carbon-neutral future. Through energy storage we can use energy more effectively, minimizing carbon emissions. Currently, only 3-4% of the electricity generated globally is stored. To limit global warming below 2°C, energy storage capacity should triple by 2050. Therefore, the development of energy storage systems is crucial to explore and advance in this area, as well as the overcoming the different obstacles (social and economic) that stand in the way of its industrial implementation. New and emerging battery technologies, as successors to the Li-ion battery, will be greener, more powerful, intrinsically safe, and based on non-critical and abundant materials.

This Summer School focuses on the analysis of energy storage systems, highlighting their crucial role in addressing challenges related to intermittent renewable sources and integrating with electric vehicles. The primary objective is to equip experimental and theoretical PhD students or PostDocs with a solid background for initiating successful research in condensed matter and materials physics. International experts from academia, research and industry will present and discuss current advances in electrochemical energy storage systems and their application in different fields, showing the latest advances in research of relevant materials and devices.

The program will try to reflect the state of the art and the wide range of advanced analysis techniques used by the battery community, as well as the research-industry connection. The I International Emerging Crops Symposium (IECS) – NutriCrop Network - Exploring the Role of Artificial Intelligence in Agricultural Innovation aims to provide an international forum for discussion and collaboration in the field of emerging crops. The symposium will bring together researchers, industry experts, and professionals from the agri-food and health sectors related to emerging crops. This event will open with a plenary session dedicated to the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the agri-food sector, followed by six thematic sessions focused on agronomy, nutrition, and biomedicine.

The symposium's goal is to promote the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and interests between public entities (research centers, universities, and non-profit organizations) and private entities (companies and organizations such as farmer cooperatives) regarding the potential of underutilized crops. These emerging crops are crucial for diversifying our agri-food system, creating a more resilient system in the face of climate change, and enhancing global food security.

The IECS will serve as a platform to showcase the innovative applications of AI in agriculture, particularly in the context of underutilized or emerging crops. These crops, which are often overlooked in conventional agriculture, have the potential to provide sustainable alternatives to current agricultural practices. The event will emphasize how AI can enhance productivity, improve crop management, and contribute to sustainable agricultural practices that are both environmentally friendly and capable of addressing future food security challenges.

Key Objectives of the Symposium:
•    Facilitating interdisciplinary collaboration: By bringing together experts from different sectors (agriculture, nutrition, biomedicine), the symposium aims to foster interdisciplinary research and collaboration to address the challenges and opportunities posed by emerging crops.

•    Highlighting AI-driven innovations: The plenary session on AI will set the tone for how technology, particularly AI, is transforming agriculture. This session will explore AI’s role in precision farming, crop prediction, pest management, and resource optimization, showcasing successful case studies of AI applications.

•    Exploring emerging crops’ potential: The six sessions will delve into the agronomic, nutritional, and biomedical benefits of emerging crops. These crops could be key to solving nutritional deficiencies, contributing to medical research, and creating crops resilient to harsh environmental conditions.

•    Public-private sector collaboration: The symposium will focus on bridging the gap between academic research and commercial agricultural practices. Discussions will encourage partnerships between research institutions and private companies, cooperatives, and industries involved in emerging crop cultivation and commercialization.

•    Building resilient agri-food systems: By exploring the resilience of underutilized crops, participants will discuss how these species can enhance the adaptability of agricultural systems to climate change. These crops may help mitigate the risks of environmental stressors such as drought, soil degradation, and fluctuating temperatures, all while contributing to food security in vulnerable regions.

•    Knowledge sharing and capacity building: The symposium will offer workshops and interactive sessions to share practical knowledge, focusing on new cultivation techniques, post-harvest management, and commercialization strategies for emerging crops, particularly in underdeveloped regions.

In sum, the IECS aims to be a transformational event that leverages the power of AI and cross-sector collaboration to explore the future potential of emerging crops in agriculture. The inclusion of these crops can not only foster biodiversity and sustainability but also address global challenges such as climate change and food security.
 

FAIR is an event that aims to provide a comprehensive and interdisciplinary understanding of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and its diverse applications and implications in scientific research and humanities. The aim is to educate participants on the key milestones, seminal works, and fundamental mechanisms shaping this field. By promoting collaboration and innovation, we seek to create an environment where ideas and methodologies can be shared and developed among researchers from diverse backgrounds. This integration will allow participants to explore new frontiers in their respective fields, driven by the transformative capabilities of machine learning.

The event will be celebrated from April 28^th to April 30^th 2025 at La Cristalera (Miraflores de la Sierra, Madrid). This setting, along with a sparse scientific schedule, offers the ideal relaxed environment to promote one-on-one interactions, deepen scientific discussions, and get to know researchers at various stages of their careers. Poster sessions will also provide the stage for the attendees to showcase their research and get invaluable feedback on their work.
